Care home residents and staff have been prioritised in NHS Highland's coronavirus vaccine programme.

They are among more than 3000 people to receive the vaccine so far.

The health authority has also given the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine to NHS staff who are likely to be exposed to the virus.

NHS Highland's director of public health Dr Tim Allison said it was aiming to use the AstraZeneca vaccine for people over-80 but detailed plans still had to be made.
