It wasn't particularly sunny but Monday, August 5, saw a temperature of 23.4C in Wick.

Monday was Wick’s warmest day of the year – “by a handsome margin”, according to local weather watcher Keith Banks.

“Just after 3pm the temperature in the town peaked at 23.4C (74.1F), a notably hot day for an exposed coastal location such as Wick,” Keith reported.

“This was significantly higher than the previous value for the warmest day of the year, 22.8C (73.0F), recorded on June 24.”
