HEAVY rain has caused a wall at a landmark at Wick Harbour to collapse forcing the closure of a street.

A section of the wall at The Seven Gates crumbled as stone and earth fell on to the road between Harbour Quay and Bank Row.

The incident is believed to have taken place between Saturday night and the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police have cordoned off the street as a safety precaution.
