The Friends of Town and County Hospital Garden are looking for volunteers to help maintain the garden at the Town and County Hospital in Wick.

The team has twice-weekly gardening sessions on a Monday and Thursday morning, 9am – 11.30am, from mid-March into October, weather permitting. The large garden is divided into 18 different themed areas. Volunteers can have their own garden area to look after if they wish, and once they are familiar with the garden, they can come at any time.

Even if you don’t have a lot of gardening knowledge the team will welcome you and be there for guidance and support. There are other tasks to get involved in, such as washing garden furniture and painting, for those not so green-fingered.

If you are interested in joining the small team of volunteers or can help in any way, please get in touch with Helen, the charity’s Chairperson, on Wick 603839.

The Friends of Town and Country Hospital Garden is a registered charity and was formed in 2016 to design and create a new garden to benefit the patients in the hospital.
