VIDEO - Murphy "bru's" up a storm to "crate" passionate debate
TOWN centres in Thurso and Wick were the scenes of passionate debate about Scotland's future as MP Jim Murphy stood on top of Irn Bru crates to discuss independence in an old fashioned politics event.
The Shadow Secretary for International Development was in Caithness on Monday to discuss with members of the public the referendum which is now six weeks away.
The event was part of his Better Together 100 Towns in 100 Days Tour as he debates why Scotland should vote no on Thursday, September 18.
In Thurso Precinct and Market Square in Wick he stood on top of two Irn Bru crates to put his case forward for the Union.
He was met by a number of vocal pro independence voters who put their views across to him why they think Scotland should go it alone.
