Residents and guests at Seaview House in Wick enjoyed a trip down memory lane when members of Caithness and Sutherland Vintage and Classic Vehicle Club began their season with a visit to the care home on Sunday afternoon.

The wet, cold and windy weather was not enough to put off some of the residents from having a look around the 13 vintage and classic cars that rolled up. Some of the residents and staff were even allowed to sit in the lovingly maintained vehicles.

Resident Cathie Anderson said: “Sitting in that car brought back old memories.”

Seaview House activities coordinator Mandy Wilson said: “Our residents had a great afternoon, despite the weather. We do our best to provide a wide range of activities and entertainment at Seaview House as part of the lifestyle enrichment programme for residents.

"I always try to think outside the box when arranging different events.”

Seaview House is run by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers. Seaview House provides care for 41 residents, from respite care to long-term stays.
