Ward 2C at Raigmore Hospital remains closed to new admissions and visitors following an outbreak of Covid-19.

The action has been taken in a bid to halt the spread of coronavirus.

There have been no further cases identified since the restrictions were put into place on Saturday.

It followed the detection of a "very small number of cases", according to a spokeswoman for NHS Highland.

"All appropriate infection prevention and control measures have been put in place," she said. "Close contacts have been identified and given appropriate advice and support.

"We would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone they should continue to adhere to physical-distancing guidelines, wear a face-covering when in enclosed spaces, clean your hands and surfaces regularly and immediately self-isolate and book a test if you develop symptoms."

An update is expected on Wednesday afternoon.
