UPDATE: Person was found safe after incident that closed the Kessock Bridge for two hours

An incident that forced the closure of the Kessock Bridge for two hours last night was safely resolved.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman confirmed that a person was found safe after the alarm was raised at around 7pm.

Kessock Bridge reopens following earlier police incident

The major A9 link was closed in both directions, re-opening just after 9pm.

The spokeswoman said: “This was a concern for person call – the person was traced safe.”
