Update on serious car crash at Castletown yesterday – five men taken to hospitals

Police Scotland issues an update on the one-vehicle crash that occurred at Castletown yesterday afternoon that resulted in five men being hospitalised.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received report of a one-car crash on the A836 Stanergill Crescent in Castletown around 4.55pm on Friday, 10 December, 2021.

“The occupants of the car, five men, were all taken to hospitals. One man was taken to Raigmore Hospital by air ambulance where his condition is described a stable and one was taken to Caithness General Hospital by ambulance where his condition is stable.

“The three other men were taken to Caithness General Hospital as a precaution. One was treated for minor injuries and two were released with no injuries.

“The road was closed between Castletown and Dunnet and reopened around 11.30pm.”
