Police Scotland has given more information about the crash on the A9 that happened earlier today and said that three people were injured and two cars involved.

A Police Spokesperson said: "Around 12.10pm on Friday, 12 May, 2023 police received a report of a road crash involving two cars on the A9 near the Georgemas Junction.

"Emergency services attended and three people have been taken to Caithness General Hospital. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the crash."

Police reported at 2.30pm that the road was closed but it is now believed to be fully open and and arrangements are being made to uplift the vehicles.
