UPDATE: 66-year-old man charged in connection with theft of Wick dog

Police Scotland have just issued an update on the apparent case of dognapping in which a Wick dog was recovered from a car near Kinross during a routine stop on Monday.

In a short statement the Police Scotland spokesperson said: "The dog was stolen from an address in Wick on Saturday, 19 March, 2022.

"On Monday, 8 August, officers on patrol stopped a car on the Stirling Road in Milnathort near Kinross around 5.15pm. Following enquiry, a 66-year-old man has been charged in connection with alleged theft of the dog and road traffic offences. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
