Unpaid work in the community was the sentence at Wick Sheriff Court on Friday for a West Murkle woman who wasted the emergency services time.
Carole Cowie (44) of Weybank had previously pleaded guilty to using a phone on May 26 to make a hoax call to demand an ambulance.
She also admitted repeatedly shouting at police officers following the call.
Cowie was given a year long community payback order and must complete 100 hours of unpaid work.
