Uninsured Thurso driver caught a second time

A Thurso man who drove without insurance for the second time was disqualified for eight months at Wick Sheriff Court.

Evan Florence (30) was also ordered to undertake 65 hours of unpaid community work after he pleaded guilty and admitted a previous record of offending.

The offence came to light after the 30-year-old was stopped by police in Towerhill Road, Thurso - he lives at that address - on December 2 last year.

Florence was admonished on an additional charge of having no test certificate.
