Uninsured driver from Thurso warned of disqualification
A Thurso man who drove a van without licence and insurance was advised by a sheriff to rectify the situation or possibly face disqualification.
Morgan Stubbings (23) was spotted by two off-duty police officers on an unclassified road between Noss Head and Staxigoe, on April 16 last year.
He pleaded guilty and admitted a record of offending at Wick Sheriff Court on Thursday.
Sheriff Linsey Johnston, who was told that Stubbings, of Holborn Place, Thurso, had never held a driving licence, said that he was almost in danger of being disqualified and added: "I suggest you take steps to drive within the law if you want to avoid coming to court."
Stubbings was admonished but incurred six penalty points. He is currently on remand in connection with an unrelated offence.
