EMERGENCY services were called to the scene of a two vehicle collision near the site of a former airfield on Friday morning.

Police Scotland confirmed that a van and a car were involved in an accident on a side road between Reiss and Killimster off the B876 Wick to Castletown road at 8.36am.

A spokesman said that police and ambulance services were in attendance at the scene although could not offer any information on the condition of the motorists.
