Dozen new coronavirus cases logged in NHS Highland area

TWELVE new coronavirus cases were recorded in the NHS Highland over the last day.

That brings to 1750 the cumulative number of cases recorded in the large health board area.

Some 572 new cases of Covid-19 were reported across Scotland.

Sadly, there were 41 new reported deaths of people who have tested positive.

Some 53 people were in intensive care yesterday with recently confirmed cases of the virus.

A total of 1033 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed Covid-19.

The Western Isles saw a new case logged yesterday.

There were none in Orkney or Shetland.

NHS Grampian saw 46 fresh cases and the number in Greater Glasgow and Clyde was 120.

The statistics show 15,917 new tests for Covid-19 that reported results, four per cent of which were positive.
