Three men have admitted engaging in a stand-up fight in a local pub.

The trio who will be sentenced next month are Jake Ross (19), of Elzy Grove, Staxigoe; David Anderson (20), of Macrae Street, Wick; and 55-year-old Mark Thain, who lives in Oldwick Road, Wick.

All three tendered their pleas to a reduced charge of breach of the peace at Wick Sheriff Court on Wednesday.

The incident occurred in the Mountain Dew pub in Smith Terrace, Wick on August 14, last year.

The three accused will be sentenced on March 9 after Sheriff David Sutherland considers a background report and hears details of the incident.
