Traffic accident at Georgemas

Emergency vehicles were seen speeding through Watten just after 1pm today (May 12) in response to a road accident close to Georgemas.

Traffic Scotland announced that northbound and southbound traffic is affected on the A9 due to the incident which happened close to the junction with the A882 road at 1.09pm.

Traffic Scotland said: "The A9 is closed on both directions at Georgemas Junction, due to a road traffic incident.

"Road users are advised to use an alternative route and expect longer than normal journey times."
