A Thurso woman is alleged to have thrown food and other items at her partner and struck him on his head with a plant pot or similar item to his injury.

Cerys Baikie (21) denied a charge of assault on her partner, Joshua Anthoney, and one of threatening or abusive behaviour, at Wick Sheriff Court on Tuesday.

The incidents are said to have taken place at a house in Park Avenue, Thurso, on April 17.

Baikie, of Harald Drive, Mount Pleasant, Thurso, is due to stand trial on July 11.
