A Thurso teenager is to complete unpaid work after barging into a closed shop and threatening a member of staff.
The 17-year-old broke several bottles of vodka after getting inside the Co-op shop in Inverness's Telford Street on February 28.
The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, admitted threatening a member of staff who discovered him inside the shop after closing time.
Inverness Sheriff Court heard on Thursday that after being confronted he ran towards the exit and slipped and fell.
Fiscal depute Karen Poke told the court that he approached the female member of staff beforehand and said: “'I will take your f**king jaw off''.”
Sheriff Gary Aitken ordered the teen to carry out 250 hours of unpaid work in the community in the next 18 months and placed him under supervision.
