A THURSO teenager has appeared in court after driving a bus without consent from the owner.

Martin Budge (17), of Dunnet Road, appeared at Wick Sheriff Court on Monday and pleaded guilty to driving a bus out of a depot in Thurso’s Janet Street.

The incident took place in the early hours of Sunday morning when Budge reversed the vehicle out of the compound at 2am. It was found a short distance from the depot.

Budge also admitted driving a vehicle without a licence or insurance.

Sheriff Shelagh McCall deferred sentence until Monday, December 19, for social enquiry, community service and restriction-of-liberty reports.
