A THURSO producer’s film is set to premiere in London today (Friday, May 20).

Adam Robertson also plays a leading role in Third Star, which will get its first UK showing at Leicester Square.

The film, which is inspired by a true story, is a tale about four friends who take an ill-advised trip to Barafundle Bay in West Wales.

The film is a touching and comical adventure dealing with friendship, heroism and love.

Ahead of the premiere, the 37-year-old said the showing is the culmination of hard work.

“We spent five years trying to get the film produced,” he said. “We are a small independent company so we don’t have the financial backing other high-profile films may have.

“Both showings on Friday night in London are sold out and everyone involved with the film is looking forward to it.”

The movie will also be screened at cinemas throughout the country this weekend, and the omens are good as, at last year’s Edinburgh Film Festival, it received good feedback from critics.
