Thurso premiere for The Game

THE red carpet is set to be rolled out as the second film to be made by a Caithness movie company holds its premiere tonight.

Big Box Network will welcome 160 guests to the Central Hotel in Thurso for the first showing of The Game which involved 70 people during the production of the movie, entirely shot in the far north.

Producer Ali Murray hopes the movie will be used as a catalyst to launch a movie industry in the far north of Scotland, with the company currently planning several other movie productions.

After the premiere, the movie will be available to buy from the Big Box Network website and from The Comm Bar and Top Joe’s in Thurso.

It also planned to sell the movie to various film festivals during 2014.
