A THURSO born music producer has created the music for a television sitcom which made its debut on BBC Three this week.

Jim Sutherland has composed the music for the six part comedy show Together which started on Tuesday night.

The show follows two young people in the early, fragile stages of a new relationship.

Sutherland has worked on between 80 to 90 television and films during his career which he has been responsible for the music.

Despite his extensive portfolio of shows, he said working on Together was one of his most favourite jobs he has been involved with.

“It’s something I enjoyed working on and i’m very proud of it,” he said.

“It is also a very funny comedy, which is a good thing as not all comedies are!

“I find my favourite ever job is always the one I am currently working on or the one I am working on next.

“Working on the series Together was just a lovely thing to be part of."

Mr Sutherland is set to return to Caithness at Halloween where he has been commissioned along with playwright George Gunn to create a piece of music for the official launch of the Nomadic Boulders at John O’Groats.

Together is on BBC Three on Tuesday nights at 10:30pm.
