Thurso man swore at neighbours and tried to headbutt police officer

A sheriff has called for a background report on a Thurso man who shouted and swore at two of his neighbours.

William McPhee pleaded guilty, at Wick Sheriff Court on Tuesday, to threatening or abusive behaviour. The offences occurred in Henderson Street, Thurso, where the accused lives, on July 13 and 31.

The 58-year-old resisted police officers who arrived on the scene following the second incident and attempted to headbutt one of them, which he also admitted.

McPhee was granted conditional bail by Sheriff Andrew Berry and will return to court for sentence on September 7.
