Thurso man forced way into home of estranged wife
Wick Sheriff Court heard about James Pollard’s reaction after being told he wasn’t welcome at the home of his estranged wife.
He forced his way into Angela Pollard’s home in the town and shouted and swore at her.
James Pollard (69) admitted having behaved in a threatening or abusive manner and was made subject to a community pay back order with a requirement that he participates in the Designers Skills programme.
The court was told on Wednesday that the accused arrived at Mrs Pollard’s home in Ackergill Crescent, Wick, on December 1.
Fiscal Sue Foard said that Mr Pollard wanted to “work things out” and continued: “Mrs Pollard told him he was no longer welcome and tried to close the front door but he forced his way in.”

When cautioned and charged by a police officer later, the accused, of Moorside Avenue, Thurso, replied: “I am sorry this happened.”
In addition to the payback order, Sheriff Janys Scott also imposed a year-long non-harassment order banning Mr Pollard from having any contact with his wife.
