Thurso man fined for defective tyre

Using his car with a defective tyre cost a man £100.
Caleb Montgomery was fined the sum at Wick Sheriff Court for the offence.
In addition the 22-year-old, of Dunbar Terrace, Thurso, incurred three penalty points when he pleaded guilty last week.
The offence came to light after police officers investigating an accident on the A9 at the Halkirk junction, on July 31 last year, noticed that he had a bald tyre.
