Thurso man denies having indecent photos of children
A Thurso man has denied charges related to indecent photos involving children.
Giles Humbert (49) appeared on indictment at Wick Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
He pleaded not guilty to having at his home in Thurso, taken or permitted to be taken or make indecent photos or pseudo-photos of children.
A second charge accuses him of being in possession of such photos.
The case was continued until September 22 when the court will hear the outcome of discussions between the prosecution and defence aimed at resolving the case through a change of plea.
The offences are alleged to have occurred between November 28, 2007, and December 16, last year.
If there is a change of plea, the case will be heard at Wick but if Humbert adheres to his plea of not guilty, he will be tried by a jury at Inverness Sheriff Court.
