Thurso man admits biting police officers
A Thurso man who bit police officers in a local street was said to have had no recollection of the incidents.
Keenan McIvor (26) pleaded guilty to two charges of assault and will be sentenced next month.
The attacks on Constable Connor Milne and his colleague Stephen Todd occurred in St Magnus Road, Thurso, on January 2.
Wick Sheriff Court was told on Wednesday that McIvor, a first offender whose address is in the same street, was having difficulty with alcohol at the time but had sought help to address the problem.
Sheriff Christian Marney said that owing to the seriousness of the charges, which involved alcohol, he would call for a background report.
The sheriff will consider it on March 23 when he will hear details of the assaults.
