Thurso man (40) dies in hospital after becoming unwell in town

A 40-year-old Thurso man has died in hospital after becoming unwell on Tuesday afternoon.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "We received a report of a man having taken unwell on Castlegreen Road, Thurso, around 3.05pm on Tuesday, 31 October, 2023.

"Emergency services attended and the 40-year-old man was was taken to hospital where he died a short time later."

She added: "The death is being treated as unexplained but not believed to be suspicious. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
