Thurso legion to host two well-known Irish musicians

TWO well-know Irish musicians will be appearing in Caithness at the weekend. Shawn Cuddy and Curtis Magee will be on stage at the Royal British Legion in Thurso on Saturday.

Cuddy is described as "a prolific singer-songwriter" whose career has spanned five decades. He has released five albums, earning critical acclaim for his work.

He began his career in nursing and after the world of music came to a grinding halt in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, he returned to the sector but is now delighted to be back on tour again.

Cuddy has been over 30 years on the road and has toured with many famous artistes, including Foster & Allen and was support act to Johnny Cash on a UK tour.

Magee is also one of Ireland' s top recording artistes and to date has recorded 25 albums and 10 DVDs. He continues to be one of the busiest entertainers on the circuit. His travels have taken him all over UK, Spain, Portugal, USA and Australia.

He also played on a Mediterranean cruise ship which visited, France, Morocco, Tunisia and Italy. His philosophy is simple – give the people what they want and send them home happy.
