SIXTH-year pupils at Thurso High once again donned pink and blue in order to raise over £1000 for research into breast and testicular cancers.

For the past two years the students have opted to focus on these good causes and, as usual, the whole school got behind them on October 7.

Many staff members and pupils paid £1 to come to school dressed in either pink or blue, with a few even turning up wearing both colours.

As well as showing their support with the coloured clothing, the pupils also produced a wide selection of baking which was on sale at interval.

For a small fee the youngsters could have their faces painted or their hair sprayed a vibrant pink or blue.

The whole event proved very popular and the fantastic sum of £1092 was raised which will be divided equally between the two causes
