A ROCK star will be playing at a gig in Caithness next week as part of his current UK and European tour.

Fish, the former Marillion front man who joined the band 30 years ago, will be performing at Skinandi’s in Thurso on Thursday night (September 1).

He will be at the Ironworks in Inverness on Sunday and in Stornoway on Tuesday before making his way to Caithness.

After his Thurso booking, Fish heads for Orkney and Shetland and is then off to England, Germany, Poland, Switzerland and Ireland before finishing his extensive tour in Edinburgh on December 18.

He will be performing with The Fishheads – Frank Usher on guitar and Foss Paterson on keyboards – and will be playing new material as well as songs from his Marillion days.
