Cycling charity volunteers in Thurso now have a permanent storage facility for their three-wheeled bike, thanks to a funding award and support from two local businesses.

The Thurso chapter of Cycling Without Age is part of a worldwide movement that seeks to give elderly and disabled people access to the outdoors through trishaw rides.

The group thanked the Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund for its support and praised the generosity of Gow Groundworks, for supplying and pouring the base for the storage unit, and Mackays car sales for the ground and for helping to set it up.

In a social media post, Cycling Without Age Thurso said: “A huge thank you to everyone who supported this project – your contributions help us continue to bring joy and connection to our community.”

There is also a Wick chapter of Cycling Without Age.
