Thurso care home residents learn new things on museum visit

Residents from Pentland View care home in Thurso enjoyed a trip back in time while visiting the North Coast Visitor Centre and Museum.

They rounded off the trip with a walk across the road to enjoy a cuppa and cake at Rosie’s Café.

Residents were able to spend the afternoon walking amongst the museum’s exhibits, and even managed to learn a few new things.

Of particular interest were the Dounreay exhibits as well as the old stones and Viking history.

Resident Marion Owen said: “What a wonderful place! It’s so lovely to get out and about!”

Residents even ran in to familiar faces while out and about in the town and enjoyed chatting with friends old and new.
