Thurso Beaver Scouts receive top awards

A busy night at the 2nd Thurso Beavers meeting saw several youngster being presented with awards.

New Beaver Scout, Jedi Palmer, was invested and two Beavers, Jedi’s brother Leo Palmer together with Leo Mennie, were pulled up to join 2nd Thurso Cub Scouts.

In addition, Ross Davidson and Leo Mennie were presented with their Chief Scout Bronze Awards by Caithness and Sutherland Scout Commissioner, Gary Stronach.

Beaver Scout leader Ian Pearson said: “Leo and Ross have worked hard on various challenges to earn the Bronze Award which is the highest award a Beaver can achieve. The challenges included taking part in various adventures, helping the local community, learning about the world and having fun whilst doing activities ranging from craftwork to science.”
