A young Beaver Scout from Caithness was awarded the top honour for the group after completing a series of fun challenges.

Tamara Moar of the 2nd Thurso Beaver Scouts received her Chief Scouts Bronze Award at a special meeting of the group.

This is the highest award a Beaver Scout can achieve and the certificate is signed by the current Chief Scout, Bear Grylls.

Tamara received the award from Gary Stronach, the Scout commissioner for Caithness and Sutherland.

Leader Ian Pearson said she has been working throughout her two years in Beavers to gain her award by attending camps, sleepovers, visiting places of interest, participating in games, crafts, cooking, photography, looking after and making new friends, taking part in team tasks, going on hikes and nature trails and generally have a fun time!
