Thurso assault victim left with broken jaw

A 26-YEAR-OLD has admitted assaulting three men, leaving one of them with a broken jaw.

James Lewis-Saunders repeatedly punched Lewis Jack to his severe injury on November 22, 2014, at Cowie Lane in Thurso.

Senior fiscal depute David Barlcay said Mr Lewis had been using a cash machine when there was some sort of verbal altercation. The assault included one significant punch which fractured his jaw.

Lewis-Saunders of Torranreach, Mid Clyth, appeared at Wick Sheriff Court on Friday where he also pleaded guilty to assaulting Ian McPhee-Campbell by repeatedly punching him to the head and Liam Forbes by repeatedly pushing him to the shoulders.

The case was continued to November 25 for the preparation of a criminal justice and social work report.
