THURSO-born artist Leah Davis is celebrating her achievement of a first-class honours degree with the online raffle of a recent painting.
The vibrant pop art style work shows actress Uma Thurman as the character she portrays in Quentin Tarantino's 1994 film Pulp Fiction.
Leah said: "Since we have all been struggling with lockdown, I've decided to raffle away this original painting to cheer us up."
This canvas measures 24 by 36 inches and has been painted in acrylic and oil.
"I've just finished studying, and wanted to paint something a little lighter in context. I usually focus on women's empowerment and theories on human behaviour and societal values.
"I explored neon colours contrasting with monochrome for my final degree project – which I just found out I received a first class honours for yesterday.
"I've looked at pop culture before, in regards to cult classic films [and am] looking to keep combining realism with the pop aspects in my future practice."
The image of Uma Thurman as Mia Wallace from the famous film "was just a fun painting exploring pop culture" before Leah starts her MA degree at Gray's School of Art after the summer.
She is raffling off the painting at £10 for a number. Every number bought will receive an A5 print from the artist's online Etsy shop.
"That way you own a piece of art whether you win the painting or not. Everyone wins," she added.
Leah said she will choose the winning number based on that week's National Lottery bonus ball.
