Thurso and Wick events to help people with sight loss





Blind and partially sighted people in Caithness will be able to receive in-person support at upcoming events with a leading sight loss charity.

RNIB Scotland will be speaking to visitors and offering support in venues in Thurso and Wick, as well as elsewhere in the Highlands, next week.

The free drop-in sessions will have friendly and knowledgeable experts from the charity to explain what help is available, answer questions and demonstrate products which can help people with sight loss with day-to-day tasks.

The Helping People With Sight Loss sessions will take place on Wednesday, May 15, in the Pentland Hotel, Thurso, from 10am-12.30pm; and in Wick at the Pulteney Centre from 2pm-4pm on the same day.

Other events will be at Inverness library on Monday, May 13, from 10am-4pm, Ullapool Village Hall on Tuesday, May 14, from 2pm-4pm and Golspie YMCA on Thursday, May 16, from 11.30am-1pm.
