There's a 'House of the Rising Sun' at Invergordon as Wick promoter backs The Animals gig
A Caithness music promoter says he is thrilled to announce a "captivating evening of musical nostalgia" as legendary 60s band The Animals take to the stage tomorrow night.
Wick man Chris Boxall is the event promoter with Highland Castle Entertainment and says the band will be playing at Invergordon Town Hall on Saturday, September 23 at 7:30pm.
Chris said: "Audiences can expect a musical journey back in time, filled with hits that have defined generations.
"John Steel after all this time is still commanding the stage from his drum throne, a true luminary in the world of music. His contribution to rock history is immeasurable, and his and the bands live performance promises to be nothing short of legendary."
With only 99 seats in the venue, it's a chance for fan to get up close and personal with the band and check out a venue which local activists hope to breathe fresh life into under ambitious redevelopment plans.
The Animals will be playing classic hits such as “House of The Rising Sun” and “We Gotta Get Out of This Place” along with support.

Chris adds: "One of the reasons we are hosting in Invergordon is that Highland Castle Entertainment is trying to take over the town hall.
"This has been neglected for years and we are doing everything in our power to take ownership and bring the venue back to its former glory. We're also showcasing this fantastic band to show people of the north that you don't have to travel to Inverness or further south to see world class acts. If the community support us by showing attendance we will keep bringing the acts."
Tickets cost £30 and can be booked by calling 0800 999 4441 or at www.ticketsource.co.uk or on the door.
The doors open at 7pm and the event starts at 7.30pm.
