THE site of a planned supermarket development in Thurso has been sold by Tesco.

London & Scottish Investments (LSI) – a Glasgow-based investment, development and property asset management company – yesterday announced a deal to purchase a package of 14 vacant sites from the supermarket giant. The land is located across Scotland and will be developed by LSI for a mix of retail and residential uses.

In June Tesco refused to confirm claims it had sold its former auction mart site in Ormlie Road but said it was in talks with interested buyers about potentials deals.
