The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) confirmed the trailer of a Tesco lorry went on fire when one of its wheels blew out on the A99 at Hempriggs.

Two fire crews from Wick attended the blaze at 7.46am. The fire was confined to the trailer of the vehicle and was extinguished using hose-reel jets.

A spokeswoman for SFRS said no-one was injured as result of the incident.
