"With the help of club stalwart Kathlyn Harper all of our information was gathered together as well as photographs, newspaper articles and programmes.

"Wick Players has a large and interesting history and with the help of club members and those of the community we are now in the process of developing our very own online archive.

"The hope is for all of our memorabilia such as photos and programmes to be displayed online as well as the story of the club."

He added that, thanks to Caithness Family History Society, Mrs Harper was invited to present a talk in November entitled “’E Players Through the Years” but due to unforeseen circumstances she was unable to present her talk.

The newly scheduled talk in March is open to the public with entry by donation.

There will be tea and coffee served afterwards with a chance to look around the clubrooms and behind the scenes.
