SIR – May I, through your columns, express my gratitude to everyone who helped to make the second Canisbay Church Flower Festival such a success?

I would like to thank everyone who gave donations, supported our fundraising, gave their time and energy in the preparations leading up to the festival, who baked, served teas and provided items for the displays.

Thank you to the Flower Patch and all who visited the festival, and last but not least to the talented ladies who excelled themselves with their wonderful floral displays.

The amazing sum of £1900 was raised from the event.

Thank you all very much. Christine Shearer, Scartan View, Canisbay.
