Police in Sutherland are appealing for information after Dornoch Cathedral was broken into and a collection box was forced open.

Officers said that the north door at the cathedral was forced open some time between Monday, January 31, and Saturday, February 5. Entry was gained to the building and a further two doors were forced open, along with a collection box.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference NE/528/22, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
