Sun shines for Caithness General Hospital fete
Warm, sunny weather brought out the crowds to support the Caithness General Hospital anniversary fete today (Saturday).
The Wick facility is celebrating it's 25th birthday this year and the departments from within the hospital, and some other organisations, gathered in the grounds and set out their stalls to help raise money to refurbish the daycase unit.
There was plenty to enjoy, from raffles to face-painting, freshly made pancakes and hot dogs, plus lots of entertainment, including music from Radio Remedy.
It was a particularly hair-raising experience for John Craw, who volunteered to have his head shaved to raise money for the Rotary Club of Wick.
The hospital will continue with its silver jubilee celebrations later in the year with a grand ball.
