SubSea 7 signs agreement with Pipeline Technique Ltd for welding and coating services

SUBSEA 7, an engineering, construction and services contractor which has bases in Caithness at Wester and Hastigrow, has signed a long-term agreement with Pipeline Technique Ltd (PTL) for welding and coating services.

PTL, which has its headquarters in Aberdeen-shire, will provide Subsea7 with access to a team of experienced specialists and cutting-edge equipment, building upon the long-standing relationship between the two companies.

Ben Mackay, chief operating officer for PTL, said: "By offering predictability, we can provide Subsea7 with a

robust foundation for long-term planning and enhanced project performance. We look forward to contributing

to more efficient operations benefiting both parties."

The company's chief execuitve, Frederic Castrec, said: "Our close working relationship with Subsea7 spans

several years, and this collaboration agreement forms the basis for its long-term continuation."

PTL, which has offices round the world, provides welding, non-destructive examination and field joint coating solutions to the global onshore and offshore energy sectors. It recently completed the acquisition of three Stanley Black and Decker companies, closely following the acquisition of Global Project Services earlier this year.
