A THIRD-year journalism student from Castletown picked to play a part in the press operations team at the London 2012 Olympics is now looking the part.
Glasgow Caledonian University student Colin Stone was in London recently to collect his uniform and accreditation for the role that will see him help the world’s media cover the games.
The 20-year-old also picked up an Oyster card for travelling around the city during the games.
His all-important accreditation will give him as near to an all-access pass as he needs.
"The accreditation I received will allow me to travel in, out and around the Olympic Stadium, including all the media sections that I need to have access to," explained Colin.
"I’m heading down to the stadium at the end of June to get to know it better, to find out where I’ll be based during my shifts and to discover how to find my way from the media centre to the athletes’ zone down by the track.
"All in all, the excitement’s building with every passing day and I can’t wait for the games to kick off."
