The Stack Rock at Staxigoe harbour again featured a striking poppy display as part of this year's remembrance commemorations.

Crocheted and knitted poppies created by Caithness Community Connections formed a cascade and adding to the spectacle were military silhouettes crafted by Denny Swanson in Papigoe.

The Highland Council lighting team assisted with floodlighting.

Every year Caithness Community Connections arranges poppy displays at locations around the county, encouraging members of the public to take a moment to reflect.

Other sites featuring hand-crafted poppies this year included the railings at Thurso war memorial, Castletown Youth Club, Lybster war memorial, the A9/A99 junction at Latheron, Wick Pipe Band Hall, Thrumster church and Mey village hall.
